About Mutual Insurance Services
Mutual Service Corporation DBA: Mutual Insurance Services (MIS) was founded and incorporated on October 1, 1985 under the laws of Washington. Mutual Insurance Services is comprised of two divisions, General Agency Services and Claims Division.
The organization operates as a managing general agency (MGA) and wholesale broker, servicing the United States Insurance Markets. The primary focus of MIS in the past was to provide a variety of Personal Lines Products. This effort has historically been successful.
In an effort to compliment our already successful Personal Lines department our holding company unanimously decided to support the expansion of a new Commercial Lines Division. By drawing from our strengths as one of the Northwest’s preeminent leaders in the wholesale insurance industry, we believe the Commercial Lines Division of MIS will mirror the success and profitability the Personal Lines department has generated.
As a result of the expansion of the Commercial Lines Division, Mutual Insurance Services of Phoenix was established February 11, 2008. Mutual Insurance Services of Phoenix is a partnership with co-owners Karla Kittel Burt and Pepper Sleight. Karla and Pepper bring with them the broker and carrier relationships that will help facilitate our expansion goals.
Additional expansion plans for the Western States are currently underway.
